Jim’s Place East Announces December Holiday Hours and Specials

MEMPHIS, TENN. (November 27, 2008)… Jim’s Place East has announced its expanded holiday schedule with special offerings in an effort to add to the merriment of the season. During the month of December, the restaurant hours will be Monday through Friday for lunch beginning at 11 a.m. and Monday through Saturday for dinner beginning at 5 p.m. Call 388.7200 ext. 4.

Off the menu December entrée specials such as grilled halibut with lemon-oregano sauce, charcoal grilled cowboy ribeye steak, fillet of tilapia stuffed with crabmeat and broiled in a lemon-butter sauce and “Low Country” shrimp and grits, offer guests delicious options to the typical holiday fare. While dining, guests also will enjoy the restaurant’s unique wooded view from its many windows, reminiscent of a retreat in the country.

For holiday shoppers on the run, Jim’s offers the convenience of call ahead, holiday take-home orders. Homemade Grecian bread, spinach and cheese phyllo puffs, Jim’s signature salad dressings, fresh southern vegetables and authentic Greek desserts are just some of the choices for the party planner who wants something out of the ordinary this Christmas.

The restaurant will be closed Dec. 24 and 25 and will reopen Friday, Dec. 26 at 5 p.m. for dinner. On New Year’s Eve, Jim’s Place invites guests to celebrate its 32-year anniversary in East Memphis and 88 years collectively in the Greater Memphis area.
